Houston Fleischmann

Houston is the graduate teaching assistant for the percussion studio and marching band program at Kansas State University. Houston completed his bachelor’s degree in music performance from Washington State University in the spring of 2020, studying under professor David Jarvis and Dr. Danh Pham. After graduating from Washington State, Houston was appointed as the coordinator of percussion for the Seattle All-City Marching Band for the 2021 season after participating as a drumline staff member for many years in the program. In 2021, Houston also returned to Pullman WA to assist Dr. Chris Wilson and Dr. Troy Bennefield as an assistant drumline instructor for the WSU Cougar Marching Band. Houston brings an extensive range of experience in the marching and concert realm to Kansas State University being an accomplished member of the WSU School of Music, former member of the Washington All-State Marching Band, and has participated in countless other high level performance programs in and around the state of Washington; including the percussion section of the Washington-Idaho Symphony Orchestra.
